Novelist/Existential

I’m Scott Kelly, and this is my home on the web. I’m thirty-two and I write novels. Notably, I’ve written Jimwamba, Frightened Boy, [sic], The Blue, and Keep the Ghost. My works have won awards, been published by independent presses, topped charts on social writing websites like Wattpad, garnered hundreds of positive reviews and ratings on Goodreads, and have ranked as high as the #1 free eBook on Amazon.  Some fans of my work have even taken the step of applying some of my fictional creations to their own lives, like the game Eureka from the novel [sic].

My latest novel is called Kill the Ghost – the capstone to my Keep the Ghost project, and it will be available very soon.

cover draft

Way down we go.

Taking off where Shadow Box ends, Sean and Morgan find themselves facing mortal peril at the hands of their nemesis only hours after fleeing Holbox. Unfortunately, this is the high point for Sean. Once again, someone sets about faking his suicide – except this time, the goal is to actually kill him.

All threads intertwine to draw the trilogy to a tight tapestry: The law, the criminal network, and the madman who all want him dead are on a collision course with our hero. And behind them all, Morgan schemes.

Gavels will bang, bodies will drop, and truth will be brought to light. Keep the Ghost travels full-circle in its savage conclusion, Kill the Ghost. Everything ends, especially life.

(coming late August/early September 2019)

I really like “Keep the Ghost,” and want to post a positive review on Amazon, but you don’t have a review link that I could find in your book, and Amazon’s web site just has those stupid multiple choice categories which don’t work for me. I don’t understand why they don’t just let us WRITE a REVIEW and say what we think!

    • I’m glad you enjoyed the novel! I definitely need a link within Keep the Ghost to send users to the Amazon page – that’s a big oversight on my part, so thanks for letting me know. Also, I appreciate your review of the book (I see you did get one posted on Amazon.) Thanks for reading.

I couldn’t put “The Blue” down. Amazing!

  29. Jamie Hogan says:

I just finished reading The Blue. Love it. I usually stick to YA but I couldn’t pass up your next book after Sic. It did the same thing that Sic did where it sucked me in from the first chapter and I had to read it while shooing people away because I was “busy”.

  30. Anna Evebø Senneset says:

Are your books only avaliable online?

    • Right now, I’m afraid so. I have some plans to release a paperback version of [sic] first and then The Blue, but I’m not sure when this will happen. With a good designer, I could have them available in a month or so.. without one, it’s mainly a limitation on how much time I have to put things together.

      • Anna Evebø Senneset says:

Crossing my fingers for paperbacks! Would love to read sic, but don’t like reading on a computer or iPad.

        Greetings from Norway!

  31. Frank says:

  33. Awesome book! So you glad you’re getting it out there. 🙂

  34. Matt360 says:

This book made a real difference in my life. I don’t know how to explain it. It inspired a lot out of me that I can trace back to the point where I had read just a few chapters in. It even got me excited about change itself.

I used to really dread each time my family would have to move and now I feel like it’s just another tag.

  35. Sarah says:

This book is amazing. It really made me think about my own perspective on life’s choices. What to value in materialistic things. Not being afraid to take big risks. What relationships in my life I could leave behind and be a better person for it. I love books that make me feel this way.

  36. Ana says:

    I really liked the novel
